NOTD MAC Mean & Green

Hi everyone! So this past weekend I worked at a horror/sci fi convention called Chiller Theatre and my nails got destroyed! I had an awesome time but three nails broke pretty bad and I couldn't save them. I chose to wear MAC Mean & Green from the 2010 MAC Disney Villains collection. Mean & Green is a gorgeous shimmery green/purple duo chrome. This is one of the strongest duo chrome polishes I have ever seen! I love it so much! It literally shifts from green to purple. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take pics of me wearing it with my long nails but I photographed it on my nubbins. Mean & Green is discontinued but I believe Orly makes a dupe for it called Space Cadet from the foil FX collection which is still available to purchase online. The formula is sheer so I needed three full coats for it to be opaque.

I met so many awesome people at the convention including Lillian Garcia who is a ring announcer for WWE, who was the only person to notice and compliment my nail polish! I complimented hers too! She was wearing Nails Inc. magnetic nail polish in Whitehall teal! I also have to mention that I met the very sexy Norman Reedus who plays Daryl from one of my favorite shows The Walking Dead and he's starred in a bunch of movies! He was so nice and very flirty with the ladies!

Mmmm Hmmmm! Great weekend indeed! ;)

NOTD China Glaze Liquid Crystal over Sephora by OPI My Personal Serpent

Hi lovlies! So I had on my last mani for 3 days and last night I wanted to try one of the China Glaze Prismatics which was recently released. I chose Liquid Crystal and I heard that putting the prismatics over a dark color look awesome so I put Liquid Crystal over Sephora by OPI My Personal Serpent. My Personal Serpent is a dark teal cream that's pretty and extremely opaque! The formula was awesome! This was part of the Garden of Good and Evil collection which came out for the Fall of 2011. Here is one coat!

And then I added two coats of China Glaze Liquid Crystal. I feel the dark base coat gave the glitter a more solid shape. The formula on this glitter is amazing. It was pretty opaque in two coats. Liquid Crystal is a sheer blue jelly PACKED with silver and blue micro glitter and multi colored hex glitter. It was difficult to photograph because I couldn't quite capture the full duochrome this polish has on my camera.

I hope these don't give me too much trouble to take off but other than that I'm loving these glitters! Here's a mini video to show the sparkle!

So there are six glitters in this collection, I've already picked up five! These are very pretty and sparkly! Let me know what you guys think!

NOTD Orly Fowl Play

Hi everyone! After my China Glaze DV8 mani, I could not decide on what to put on next. I went through my untrieds and picked out Orly Fowl Play from the Birds of a Feather collection from Fall 2011. I bought this late last year and I can't believe I haven't worn it until now! Fowl Play is flakie awesomeness! It's a dark purple jelly base filled with multi color flakies. I believe this was limited edition but you can still find it all over the internet for less then $10. The formula is a bit sheer since it's a jelly so I put on 3 coats and it was pretty opaque. I wore it glossy for two days.

Then I added one coat of China Glaze Matte magic last night and wow! I love it soooo much more!!

Amazing! I love it!! What do you think? Thanks for reading!

NOTD China Glaze DV8

Hi lovlies! So yesterday on facebook, I asked you what I should put on my nails. The choices were a holo, a jelly sandwich, or a glitter and the majority went with a holo so I brought out an oldie but a goodie. China Glaze DV8 from the infamous OMG collection. Now for those of you that don't know about the OMG collection, this was an amazing collection that consisted of all holographic polishes. These came out in 2008 and unfortunately they are discontinued now. I have a few colors from this collection. Here is a picture of the whole collection:

Oh how I wish these would come back! OMG alone goes for like $60 on ebay! Craziness! Anyway, I put on three coats of DV8 last night. The formula on these is a bit tricky, it drags alot. These also tend to chip quickly sometimes. But I love these holo's!! I also used OPI Onyx for the accent nail and I stamped it using a konad image plate with DV8. I was happy with the results!

And here's a short video showing the holo in movement!

I use these holo's sparingly because I don't want to use them up! I really want to try the new Layla holo's. Anyway, thanks for reading! What do you think of holo polishes?
