April Autism Awareness NOTD's!!

Hi everyone! So today's post is very special to me. April is Autism Awareness month. My younger brother is autistic and he's had his struggles, but he's amazing! He's 17 now going on 18 and about to graduate high school and I'm so proud of him! He's very smart and he surprises me with something almost every day! So since blue is the color for Autism Awareness month, I decided to only wear blue nail polishes this month. So here are my NOTD's for Autism Awareness month.

NOTD #1

This is Revlon Midnight Sparkle (2 coats). This is a sheer navy blue base with small glitter and large hex glitter. Decent formula.

NOTD #2
This is Essie Butler Please (2 coats) with China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara on the accent. Butler Please is such a gorgeous bright cobalt blue. It's almost neon! Great formula too! This was almost a one coater!!

NOTD #3
This is Julie G Rock Candy (2 coats) from the Julie G frosted Gumdrops collection. This is a pretty, sparkly, textured crystal blue polish. I can't wait to wear the other colors from this collection! I will review and post about them too!

NOTD #4
This is China Glaze Sci Fly By (2 coats) from the new holographic collection. I wasn't too happy with this one. The formula was dragging all over the place and it was difficult to get a pic with decent holo.

NOTD #5
This is Zoya Song (2 coats) and my very first try at a fishtail design using Zoya Trixie, Song, and Kristen. Song is gorgeous! Such a beautiful, bright shimmery blue. I liked trying out the fishtail design!

NOTD #6
This is Zoya Tallulah (2 coats) with Zoya Twila on the accent nails. Tallulah is one of my favorite blue nail polishes ever! It's so beautiful and unique! It has an almost iridescent sheen to it while being opaque!

NOTD #7
This is China Glaze Hanging in the Balance (2 coats) from the Cirque de Solei collection. This is a gorgeous blue that looks teal in the picture but it's a bright creamy blue! Great formula too! I also took my dotting tool and added a little bit of China Glaze Liquid Crystal for fun! I loved this mani!!

NOTD #8
This is China Glaze Mosaic Madness over 3 coats of China Glaze Towel Boy Toy. This was such a fun mani! It's like a blue party exploded on my nails! I love this glitter collection!

NOTD #9
This is Orly Lunar Eclipse (2 coats) from the Cosmic FX collection that came out a couple of years ago. I looooooove this polish! It has almost a duo chrome rainbow effect to it. It's just so beautiful!

NOTD #10
This is China Glaze Strap on your Moonboots from their recent holographic collection. I liked this color so much more than Sci Fly By. The formula did not drag as much and it was more holo. In person this polish looks like a steel blue with a hint of grey until you hit the sunlight and you see all of it's blue holo prettiness! I'm interested in trying out the other holo's in this collection that I picked up.

So anyway, these were all my mani's for Autism Awareness month! I hope you enjoyed! Thank you all so much for watching and checking out my blog! I appreciate it more than you know!

Illamasqua speckled polishes! Pics and review of Scarce and Speckle!

Hey everyone! This post is way overdue but today I wanted to post a review of two of the Illamasqua limited edition speckled nail polishes. I was able to get two of these from Sephora last month and I'm so bummed I didn't get the whole collection. These were from Illamasqua's Spring  "I'm Perfection" collection. There were 5 total polishes and I was only able to get 2. The rest of the colors are available on the Illamasqua website. Up first is Scarce which is a pastel pink crème with small black glitter and large black hex glitter. This is two coats:

The next color is Speckle which is pretty lavender crème with small black glitter and large black glitter. This is also two coats:

I really like these and I have to get the remaining colors! The formula on these are great and easy to apply. They are also opaque in just two coats! The wear time was pretty good on these as well. My nails lasted about 4 days with each color before they chipped and that was while I was on vacation and outdoors a lot! What do you think about these? Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

My day at IMATS in NYC April 6, 2013!!

Hey everyone! So sorry I didn't blog in the month of March, it was a crazy month for me but I did constantly post on my Facebook: Nails Never Fails and twitter page @Nailsneverfail Anyway, today's post is different and special! This past weekend I attended the IMATS (International Makeup Art Trade Show) in NYC. For those of you that don't know, this is a huge convention where many cosmetic makeup, special effects makeup, brush, and makeup accessory companies come together under one huge roof. Many companies you might know that were at IMATS were Stila, OCC cosmetics, Inglot, Eye Kandy, and more. You can buy lots of stuff at discounted prices. They also have seminars, makeup tutorials, and contests there too. I went on Saturday which focused more on fantasy makeup and special effects. The place was packed and there were some long lines to shop at certain brands but I had a blast! There were also many beauty bloggers and YouTube guru's there. I met Julie G who is a very famous on YouTube and now has her own nail polish line. She was great! I will make a YouTube video of my haul but for now here are pics of my day at IMATS! I will definitely be going again next year!
