My Top Ten Nail Polish Collections of 2013!!

Hey everyone! So since today is the last day of 2013, I decided to write a post about my top 10 favorite nail polish collections of this year. Now there were tons of awesome nail polish collections this year but these are just my personal favorites. So in no particular order, here we go:

So this year was the year of textured nail polish! Every nail polish company came out with textured polishes and as some of you know, I loooooove textured polishes! I love they way they look and feel!
1) Zoya Pixie collection- These polishes range in bright vibrant colors and gorgeous sparkle! And the formula on these are amazing too! Here are some of the gorgeous colors!

 2) Julie G Frosted Gum drops collections- These textured beauties are not only beautiful but they are very affordable as well. Great and easy formula too! These are sold at Rite Aid for about $4 each. The first collection came out for Spring 2013 and the second came out for the holidays. I have them all except for 1. Here are a few:

3) OPI Bond Girls collection - These are just amazing! The beautiful colors, the formula, and the great names! This collection was released for the Spring of this year. My favorite is still Pussy Galore!

Those are my favorite textured polish collections of this year! There were other ones that I loved but these were my fave!
4) Color Club Halo Hues 2013- On to other collections, there were many holo polish collections that were released this year but one that I thought were particularly stunning were the Color Club Halo Hues collection. Now I purchased their first Halo Hues collection but I still don't own the 2013 collection, but my friends have them and I've seen them on blogs and they are just stunning and full of holo!
5) Sephora Formula X collection- Sephora released their official Formula X collection this year and it was a huge hit! This collection has it all, great formulas, great colors, great effects, textures and toppers! I have the privilege to work for the company and I get to play with these and try them all out! This collection has something for everyone! There are soooo many polishes in this collection, here are just a few:

6)China Glaze Glitz n Pieces collection- This was a great glitter collection that was released earlier this year. China Glaze is one of my favorite companies when it comes to glitter polishes just because they are usually the first ones to start a certain trend. This collection is so cool! I love the colors and effects it leaves on my nails!

7) Zoya Summer Irresistible collection- This summer there were lots of great nail polish collections but my very favorite was the Zoya Irresistible collection! These were shimmery and foil beauties that were perfect for the summer and I love them! Here are a couple of pics from that collection:

8) China Glaze Avant Garden Collection- This was released for Spring of this year and it was full of pretty pastels and brights! These are so beautiful to me and the formula on most of these were perfection! Another great collection from China Glaze!

9) Impress Press on Nails - Press on nails have been around since I can remember but this year I feel that press on nails were really popular thanks to companies making them so cool and easy to apply, easy to remove and just plain awesome looking! I really loved the Halloween collection, they were awesome and I received tons of compliments on these bad boys!

10) Orly Mash Up collection- This summer Orly came out with a collection that had something for everyone. Soft shimmers, glitter, neon, pastels all together in one collection. I really like the formula on these as well. I haven't photographed all of these on me but I plan on it and I really like them!

So there you have it! These are my personal favorite collections from this year. These are just my opinion. What were some of your favorite nail polish collections of this year? Thanks for reading and have a happy new year!

Essie NOTD On a Silver Platter review and Sephora X Law of Attraction! Dupes!!

Hey everyone! Today I have a review of Essie On a Silver Platter. This polish is from the Essie 2013 Encrusted Treasures Holiday collection. This collection consists of all types of glitter and textured polishes. I picked this up a couple of weeks ago because it looked so gorgeous in the bottle. On a Silver Platter is a gold shimmer polish with blue holo glitter of all sizes. I read a lot of bad reviews on this polish but I like it. Here are two coats:

The polish itself is a little sheer, you can add three coats but I stuck with two. This sparkles so pretty in the light. I received a lot of compliments on this mani. I also found a dupe of this while at Sephora. Here is Sephora X Law of Attraction:
This is an exact dupe! Same formula, applies the same, not too thick, not too thin. Same size glitter and everything. So if you can't find one you can get the other. The Sephora x version is $12.50 at Sephora and Essie prices vary from $5-10 depending on where you buy them. They are a little difficult to remove so prepare yourself for that. Other than that, I love this nail polish and I plan on using it again before the holidays are over! Thanks for reading!! Happy Holidays!!

Julie G Frosted Gum Drops Holiday collection 2013 review and swatches!!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holidays so far! Today I have a full review and swatches of the 2013 Julie G Frosted gum Drops Holiday collection. So a couple of weeks ago I was in Rite Aid and I found a display for the Julie G holiday collection. They were $3.99 each and I get 10% off with my rite aid rewards card. So I picked up all six colors!

So these are textured nail polishes. You don't use a top coat and they dry to a textured matte finish. As many of you already know, I loooooove textured polishes! I just think they look so cool!! So here they are:
First we have Ho Ho Ho! The name makes me giggle! Ho Ho Ho is a sparkly bright red. The formula was pretty easy to work with. Textured polishes are a little on the thicker side. The brushes on these are short and dense so it's easy to get coverage. This is two coats.

Up next we have Sleigh Ride which is a pretty sparkly blue. I'm a sucker for blue polish and this one is no exception.  This was actually the only color that stained my nails after I removed it. That doesn't really bother me though. This is two coats:

The next color I have is Mistletoe. This is a gorgeous dark green polish. Looks like emeralds on my fingertips!! This is two coats:

The next color I have is Gift of Gold. This is exactly as it sounds, it's a gift of gold! This is pretty but it's slightly more yellow on me than it looked in the bottle. This is two coats:

The next color I have for you is Silver Bells which is a pretty silver but not as sparkly as the others. That surprised me because I thought Silver Bells would be extra sparkly. This is two coats:

And last but not least, here is Sugar Plum Fairy which is a dark sparkly purple. This was very sparkly and I received a lot of compliments on it. For some reason though, this was the thickest formula. It was a little too thick and I had trouble spreading it onto my nail. Here is two coats:

So I used OPI Natural nail base coat for all of these and no top coat of course. These all lasted about 4 days until they started chipping and that's great for no top coat except for Sugar Plum Fairy which chipped the very next day but I think it was because of working so much with my hands! I really like this collection. I love textured polishes! I love the look and feel of them and I love that I don't need a top coat. These Julie G textured polishes are pretty similar to the Zoya Pixie polishes. I'm working on a comparison post. So if you can't get the Zoya polishes, you can go to your local Rite Aid and pick these up for $3.99 each. I hope they make more frosted gum drop collections! I love these. I hope this review was helpful. Thanks for reading and checking out my blog!!
