Nails Never Fails Files: China Glaze Custom Kicks

Hey everyone! I haven't posted a Nails Never Fails Files in a while! Today I have a good one! China Glaze Custom Kicks from the Kicks Summer 2009 collection. This entire collection was amazing but this color is my absolute fave! Custom Kicks is a gorgeous dark aqua green with a hint of golden shimmer. The formula is nice and opaque in two coats. The only downside to this polish is that it stains. Staining doesn't really bother me though because my nails are always painted anyway. I picked up this color in 2009 but I believe you can still get this color from many e-tailers like Amazon.com. Here is two coats of Custom Kicks:

This is China Glaze Nova on the accent nail.
I love this color so much!! I actually haven't worn it in a while and I love rediscovering my polishes!! Thanks for reading!!

Nails Never Fails Files OPI Mermaid's Tears

I love going through my old nails pictures! I found a gem! I have pics of OPI Mermaid's Tears from the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection which was the Spring 2011 collection. Mermaid's Tears is a pretty soft sea foam green. It's very similar to alot of green polishes out right now like Zoya Bevin. I love this color and the formula if I remember correctly, is great! Two coats and it's opaque. I believe this collection can still be found in some stores but definitely online. I'm going to have to revisit this beauty soon!

My nails were really short here (knock on wood)! This was actually the only color I picked up from the Pirates collection.

Nails Never Fails Files: China Glaze Laser Lime

Hi everyone! So today I have another nail polish from the nail vault! China Glaze Laser Lime from the Tronica collection. I figured that since I'm going through all my green polishes that I have photographed, I might as well put this up. Laser Lime was from the Tronica collection that was released around spring time last year. We all thought there would be alot more holo in them like the OMG collection but they are still pretty. I don't remember how many coats this is but I'm pretty sure it's two. The formula is ok, it drags a bit so you have to make sure the coat is dry before you put another on.

I want to revisit this collection and wear them again. I'd also like to try a water marble with them. This is also a great green for St. Patty's day. Do you own any polishes from the Tronica collection? Which one is your favorite? Well, as always thanks for reading

Nails Never Fails Files: Zoya Lola

I love going through my older pics! I find polishes that I forgot I even wore and photographed! I have a gem today! Zoya Lola is a gorgeous jelly like, hot pink polish with hints of blue duochrome. It's my favorite hot pink! I rocked it last summer and I can't wait to rock it this summer! Lola is also magnificent on the toes! I honestly don't remember how many coats I have here. It might be three because this is slightly sheer. I also did a freehand design on the ring finger. I love to wear Lola in the summer because it just looks perfect when I have a tan.

NNF Files Happy/Earthy Claire's Mood polish

Hey everyone! Today I have another older pic from 2011. This is Claire's Mood polish in Happy/Earthy. I remember seeing pics and videos of mood polish on the internet and running out and buying a bunch of them at Claire's. Turns out that they are cool to watch them change color on your nails but they chip right away, they are really thin and sheer,  and they are not 3 free so they leave the nail bed extremely dry and stripped of moisture. I tried out 4 of the 10 colors I have and they all chipped really fast. Such a disappointment. Eventually I will get to trying out the remainding colors I have. Happy/Earthy changes from green to yellow and vice versa. Here is three coats:

These tend to go on with a matte finish too. I like the whole french effect this gives when my nails are long, I just wish the polish would last longer than a day without chipping! I haven't put on a mood polish in a long time so I will go back and rediscover them in my stash. What do you all think of mood polishes? Have you tried them? What brands have you tried?

Nails Never Fails Files OPI Ogre the Top Blue with water marble accent

Hey everyone! I was going through all of my old nail photos and I came across pics of one of my favorite blue polishes of all time, OPI Ogre the Top Blue from the 2010 Shrek collection. I really loved this entire collection, it was full of such pretty bright colors that were perfect for Spring! So here I used Ogre the Top Blue and then I chose to do an accent water marble. This was actually my second try ever at water marbling back in 2010! I used all OPI Shrek colors, Ogre the Top Blue, Who the Shrek are You, What's with the Cattitude and Funkey Dunkey. The base color of the marble was What's with the Cattitude. I plan on revisiting these colors very soon, even do another water marble with these colors!

To this day, this is in my top 3 favorite manicures of all time! Thanks for reading!

Nails Never Fails Files #10 Zoya Danni

Hey everyone! I was looking through my older pics and I decided to post a pic of Zoya Danni. Danni was part of the Zoya Intimate collection which came out Spring 2011. This is a gorgeous shimmery purple. It was pretty opaque in two coats but if I remember correctly, I think I used three coats because I didn't wait long enough between coats and the brush pulled some polish resulting in bald spots. Anyway, here is 3 coats of Danni:

Danni is a great color and I plan on revisiting it soon. This would look awesome with some flakies on it! Thanks for reading!

Nails Never Fails Files #9 China Glaze Virtual Violet

For today's NNF Files, I have China Glaze Virtual Violet from the Tronica collection which was a limited edition collection released at the beginning of the year. Virtual Violet is a pretty violet with a slight hint of holo but nothing like the holo from the OMG collection. As much as I liked this color, I hated the fact that it chipped on me in one day! But I'm going to go back and give it another shot. I will be revisiting alot of my polishes that I haven't worn in a long time. Anyway, here is two coats:

I know the formula is pretty smooth but this polish drags big time so it must dry between coats to prevent pulling the polish off with the brush. I hope you all like my old pics! Thanks for reading!

NNF Files #8 Zoya Star

Hi everyone! I have more Nail Files for ya! Here I have another Zoya which I purchased at the beginning of this year. This is Zoya Star. Star is a frosty magenta pink. Everytime I wear this color I think of Jamie Gertz character Star from the movie The Lost Boys. (One of my fave flicks of all time!) In the second pic I threw on a coat of Nubar 2010. I like the little flakies floating in a sea of pink. Here is two coats:

And here is two coats of Star with one coat Nubar 2010:

What are some of your favorite pink polishes?

NNF Files #7 China Glaze Pink Voltage!

It's amazing all the pics I've taken of my manicures over the last couple of years! I love going back into my nail files, it's like finding buried treasure! And if I don't like the pics, that means I can put on the polish and photograph it all over again! Here I have an oldie but goodie, China Glaze Pink Voltage! This is an awesome neon pink that's just a sminch darker than Shocking Pink. Pink Voltage also dries with a satiny almost matte look. I rocked this color so much during the Spring and early Summer of this year. Here is three coats without a top coat:

I believe Pink Voltage came out with other neon colors back in 2008 but is still available wherever China Glaze is sold. What are some of your favorite neon polishes?

Nails Never Fails Files #6 Zoya Harlow

Hi everyone! I was looking back at my nail files and I found pics I had taken with Zoya Harlow. Harlow is a berry/wine colored matte polish that was released by Zoya in their 2009 winter collection. This is actually the first matte polish that I ever bought, and I liked the formula and color but this chipped on me in less than a day! I now add a matte topcoat to seal the matte polish so it lasts longer and it helps to use a ridge filller as a base coat. Here is three coats:

With flash
As you can see, Harlow looks so different with flash and without. I have to revisit Harlow. What kind of design should I do with Harlow? I'm thinking a sponge mani, a mattified sponge mani. What do you guys think of matte polishes?

NNF Files #5

Here I have for you a swatch of China Glaze For Audrey. This beautiful Tiffany blue was released in 2007 and has since become a cult favorite among nail polish enthusiasts. The formula is creamy, smooth, and opaque in two coats. For Audrey is sold pretty much wherever China Glaze is sold.

Here I used one coat of China Glaze Fairy dust on the ring finger. Fairy dust looks great over any color, it is a clear base with a fine glitter that appears almost holographic. I use Fairy Dust alot! Thank goodness it's still available. I'm going to need another bottle real soon!

Here I am wearing For Audrey with Fairy Dust on top of all my nails. I just bought this Coach bag and I thought it matched my nails! I love this bag! Thanks for reading!

Nails Never Fails Files #4 Zoya Dove

Here is another Zoya lovely! This is Dove from the Spring 2011 Intimate collection. This is a pretty pastel gray creme that goes on like a dream. It's creamy, smooth formula goes on opaque in 2 coats.

Nails Never Fails Files #3

Today I am going back to my favorite neutral pink. It's Go Go Pink by China Glaze. I love this pink because it's not as sheer as many other neutral pinks. And it's very shiny and smooth! Here is 3 coats:

Go Go Pink is such a beautiful, feminine pink. I picked this up last year at a local nail supply shop so I'm pretty sure it is still available to purchase. I also tried China Glaze Broken Hearted crackle on top and I love it as well:

With Top Coat

Broken Hearted crackle is available everywhere where China Glaze is sold. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment!

Nails Never Fails Files #2

For my second files posting I have the beautiful OPI DS Extravagance! This color is a sparklelicious magenta like purple. I love it! There is a little holo glitter in it but definitely not as much as the ever coveted DS Original. Unfortunately the last time I wore it, I only took one picture so I will have to revisit this polish very soon and take more pics! This is one of my all time favorite OPI polishes! I love the color and the nice opaque formula. Here is two coats. Unfortunately some have complained that it stains nails so make sure you put on a good quality base coat before you add on the color. I really never have a problem with staining since my nails are always polished.

OPI DS Extravagance is still available to purchase as far as I know wherever OPI DS colors are sold. Thank you for reading!

Nails Never Fails Files #1

The Nails Never Fails Files are where I go back to pics I have taken of my nails over the past few months. For my first post we have Zoya Marley from the Intimate collection from this past spring. I have this entire collection and Marley is one of my favorites. The formula is a dream. It is a gorgeous pastel lavender with a hint of shimmer. It goes on almost opaque with one coat. I'm wearing two coats here.

I loved Marley on it's own but the next day I added China Glaze Fault Line Crackle on top. I love Fault Line! It's a slightly shimmering dark purple crackle. I applied it diagonally, and I applied a top coat.
