NOTD China Glaze Lorelai's Tiara

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great weekend! First of all, I just want to quickly comment on last night's episode of My Strange Addiction on the TLC channel. There was a 23 year old girl that was addicted to drinking nail polish...yes DRINKING NAIL POLISH!!! That almost made me throw up! Not only did it piss me off that she was wasting so much polish, but it baffled me how she was still alive!?! I could have sworn she was drinking a bottle of OPI in one of the scenes! Horrendous!! Anyway, today's NOTD is the super sparkly Lorelai's Tiara from the China Glaze 3D glitters collection. I love it! It's so sparkly and even though it's pretty opaque on it's own, I put two coats of it over one coat of China Glaze Icicle.

Hopefully, this glitter won't be such a pain in the butt to take off. I love everything about this polish except, it leaves a good amount of texture on your nail, even with a thick top coat. The pics do not do this mani any justice, my nails are so sparkly!!
     So, I've been receiving requests to do a polish collection video, I'm working on it. I'm waiting for a few polishes to come in the mail, then I will post a mega haul video. Then I have to reorganize my stash and I will start on  a video to show you all my collection. As always, thanks for reading!

NOTD Layla Metallic Sky Magneffect Nail Polish!

Hello! So last night I did my nails. I wanted to use a magnetic polish that I haven't photographed yet. I went with Layla Metallic Sky magnetic polish which is a dark metallic blue. It's soooo pretty! For this mani, I wanted it to look different than my other magnetic mani's so I held the magnet at a different position. Here it is without topcoat:

Then, I was inspired by Colette from My Simple Little Pleasures and I added one coat of China Glaze Matte Magic on top.

I can't get over how much I loooove magnetic polishes! So amazing! Have you picked up any magnetic polishes yet? Which ones have you picked up? How do you like them? Any problems?

China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle Vs. Electric Beat

So since I own both colors, I wanted to do a comparison post between China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle and China Glaze Electric Beat. They both seem very similar to the naked eye.

In the bottle, these colors look very similar. SP looks slightly darker than EB.

So as you can see, SP is slightly darker and has more purple undertones than EB which is lighter and has more blue undertones. They are slightly different so if you are like me and have to own every purple and blue China Glaze releases, go for it. But otherwise, if you have one then you don't necessarily need the other. NOTD China Glaze Electric Beat

Hi lovlies! So since Valentine's Day is over with, I decided to go back to my other colors and I'm not going to wear pink or red for a little while. So last night I was going through my stashes of my last few hauls and I picked out China Glaze Electric Beat from the Electropop collection. The formula is a dream! Completely opaque in two coats, and such a pretty periwinkle ish blue. In certain light in looks more gray and in other it looks more blue. I can't wait to try out some water marbling with this color! Here is two coats:

Electric Beat is so pretty and so perfect for Spring! It's still grey and cold outside here in NY but it's Spring on my nails. This color is very similar to China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle. I will post a comparison so stay tuned! Thanks for reading!

Valentine's NOTD China Glaze Ruby Pumps with Essie Shine of the Times!

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! I've seen so many great Valentine's Day designs and I was trying to find an idea for my nails. I was going through my stash and I decided to wear China Glaze Ruby Pumps because I love it so much and I haven't worn it in a while. This was my very first China Glaze I ever purchased and still one of my top three favorite polishes ever! Here is three coats:

Ugh! I broke this thumb nail yesterday and it sucked!!!

Now Ruby Pumps is absolutely gorgeous on it's own but I wanted to jazz it up a little more. I added one coat of Essie Shine of the Times and OMG!! I cannot describe how magnificent that turned out!

I love this combo so much!!! It's like I have ruby flames on my nails! I will be rockin this on V day! I can't stop staring at my nails! Here is a mini video to show the lushness of this combo:

December 2011 Slideshow

I finally finished my December 2011 slideshow! Now I'm onto my January slideshow! I added a pic of me wearing the Sally Hansen Salon Effect strips in Plaid about you. I never posted that onto my blog because I hated them. They look ok on camera but they were so annoying to put on and I've put strips on before and had no problem. These were so thin and they wrinkled so easily when I put them on. They were also so difficult to take off. Anyway, here's the slideshow. Thanks for watching!
