NOTD Zoya Sooki

Hi everyone! So this weekend I was pretty much sick in bed but I still did my nails, and I watched Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 on blu ray. I love that movie soooo much! I can't wait for part 2! Anyway, Edward and Bella's love inspired my mani. I chose to put on Zoya Sooki which not only is a gorgeous red polish but of course it reminds me of Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood, another vampire franchise I love! Sooki might be my favorite red creme polish! The formula is flawless! It's almost opaque in one coat! I also wanted an accent nail so I went with OPI Black Onyx. This mani is simple, classic, great for Valentine's day, and just makes me think of Twilight and True Blood. Here is two coats of Zoya Sooki and two coats of OPI Black Onyx:

I'm still trying to decide what to put on my nails for the actual Valentine's Day. I have a few ideas. After V-day, I'm ready to rock my blues and greens again! lol What are some of your favorite red polishes?

NOTD OPI Pink Friday with Heart Stamp

Hi everyone! I'm so excited that this morning my Nails Never Fails Facebook page reached 200 likes! I will be posting a giveaway real soon to show my appreciation! In the meantime, I was practicing with my konad stamping kit last night. I wanted to do a cute Valentine's themed mani. I started out with two coats of OPI Pink Friday which I absolutely love!! It's so creamy and opaque and it's the perfect shade of pink! Here's two thick coats:

Then I decided to do some stamping. This image is from a plate from the Salon Effects As Seen on TV stamping kit. The red polish I used for the stamping is Sally Hansen Insta dri in Rapid Red. This brand is great for stamping! I'm still new to stamping, I know my stamps aren't perfect and they are not all centered but I think it came out cute!

NOTD OPI Jelly Sandwich mani!!

Hi everyone! First of all let me say congrats to the NY Giants winning the superbowl!! WOO HOO!! It was a great game and I loved some of the commercials. The Madonna halftime show was good but I'm not too crazy about her new song. Anyway back to nails, I've been wanting to try a jelly sandwich mani for a while now so I gave it a try. Also known as a candy mani, a jelly sandwich mani is when you use a jelly polish as a base, add a layer of glitter polish, then add a jelly polish on top of the glitter. The result is a nice smooth glittery mani, and the glitter looks suspended in the polish. I love it! It makes me want to go out and buy more jelly polishes! For this mani I used three OPI polishes. The jellies are Houston we Have a Purple, and Too Hot Pink to Hold em, and the glitter is Spark de Triomphe.

So first I put two thin coats of Houston we have a Purple on top of my Nail Envy base coat, then I added one coat of Spark de Triomphe, then one thick coat of Too Hot Pink to Hold em finishing off with OPI Top coat. The result is a gorgeous sparkly, smooth mani where the glitter is sandwiched between the two layers of polish so it looks suspended in the polish. I love it! This make me want to go out and buy more jelly polishes! Actually I have to go through my stash, I bet I have more jelly polishes than I think! Anyway, here is the final result:

This is really cute! I'm also going to be wearing just reds and pink polishes until Valentine's day. I have plenty! I even have some new ones I haven't even worn yet! Have you guys tried any jelly sandwich mani's?

NOTD China Glaze Material Girl

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's February already! I'm bummed because I had to cut my nails down to nubbins because one broke, and three were on the way. I just cut them all down so they could be even. I picked up OPI Nail Envy for peeling nails this past weekend so I'm going to try it out and see if it works. Anyway, I wanted to wear something fun and pink to ring February in so I put on China Glaze Material Girl from the 3D Glitters collection. I've wanted to use this color for the longest. I love it! Material Girl is a clear base with lots of pink, multi shaped glitter with some holographic glitter. My only complaint is that it dried pretty rough even with a thick top coat. And I'm sure it's not going to be fun removing this off of my nails! Here is three coats:

And of course, after I put this on there is no sun outside whatsoever so I could not catch the true sparkle of this polish on camera. It's so much prettier and sparkly in person. So I am already working on a February haul, and I'm also going to create a blog post talking about my favorite things of January. As always, thanks for reading!!
